Your performance is your direct path to the degree

There is no formal application process for this degree program. With performance-based admissions, you can skip taking admissions tests, and paying application fees. The only academic requirement to begin is a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Learn more about how you can get started.

New student enrollment steps

Enrolling in the Master of Information Technology is a straightforward, performance-based process. To secure your spot in one of our six annual start dates, you will begin by choosing one of two clear pathways and must earn a cumulative 3.0 GPA.

Pathway 1: The Google IT Support Professional Certificate. This is the fastest path into the Master of IT as it only requires one course to gain entry to the program. 

1. Click “Enroll now” 

2. Sign up for an account with Illinois Tech.

3. On the enrollment form, select “Yes” when asked if you have completed the Google IT Support Professional Certificate within the last three years.

4. Submit your certificate information for verification. You can expect to be contacted regarding approval within 5 to 7 business days.

5. Once approved, the certificate will count as three credits, securing your full admission.

Pathway 2: The traditional performance pathway courses: ITM 705, ITM 706, or ITM 707.

1. Click “Enroll now” 

2. Sign up for an account with Illinois Tech.

3. On the enrollment form, select “No” when asked about the Google Certificate.

4. Complete your account profile with the required personal and educational information. You must provide transcripts from your bachelor’s degree to proceed.

5. Register for one or more of the performance pathway courses: ITM 705, ITM 706, or ITM 707. Please keep in mind that you will be required to pay upfront for the course registration at time of enrollment. This means that if you are selecting one course for this program, you will be required to pay $500; for all 3 courses, your total will be $1,500.

6. Upon payment, you will receive instructions to access your courses.
