Very Good rhythm and structure of the information, but a couple of quizz questions are a bit debatable

This course needed to go into detail much much more, for example, it should included how to connect to databases, how to use native query, how to append data files from folders, how to write M code in more detail, and much more the course is pretty much weak and I don't think it reached even the intermediate level shame on Microsoft it doesn't prepare me will for the PL-300 exam.

there are so many issues in course

Video lessons have no interactivity for the student, no associated practise files. The practical exercises are limited, very rushed, brief, sketchy and expect student to actually learn by studying the Additional Resources sections. Lots of errors and confusing to follow in the Reading sections.

Some topics should be more explored, such as M language

quizzes are too long, made artificially difficult due to some poorly written questions... too much theory and very little practice... expected much more from a course from such a prestigious company...

Sorry, but the course could have been 10-times shorter with more active learning path. The information is duplicated many times, the "strong, powerful and effective" tools are just being praised again and again, the screenshots are duplicating the video etc etc. Probably the course is designed for beginners in computer literacy but obviously not for students or professionals aiming to learn new BI tools.

The integration between the course content and the assignments is terrible. The videos and the readings should be more comprehensive and less vague to complete the assignments.

This course, and in fact this whole specialization, feels like one big advertisement for Power BI. Further, I reckon this course could really be about just half the length and still get all the info taught, as it just repeats the same thing constantly and talks about "how great is Power BI."

Half questions in graded sections often involve topics not covered and/or unnecessary trick questions involving specific semantics of similar words.

Very clear cut concepts about ETL process and most essential part is the exercises with quizzes which enhance the knowledge and skills to become a data analyst

The course content is helpful in guiding through the basics of Power BI. However, it often lacks practical application and context. Many topics present features as efficiency improvements without demonstrating their real-world impact. For instance, some techniques are showcased using small Excel files without discussing their application in larger datasets or complex scenarios. Access to Power BI Services is required for the course, which is limited to a 30-day free trial as a personal user. This restriction hinders the ability to fully explore and practice the material beyond the trial period. Graded assignments and quizzes are particularly problematic: * Questions frequently contain errors or typos, forcing learners to choose the "least wrong" answer rather than the correct one. * Many questions are ambiguous, making it difficult to determine what is being asked. * The quizzes often test memory of minor, subjective details mentioned in passing, rather than assessing practical knowledge and understanding of the course material.

I didn't feel the course provided meaningful application of the material covered. It also had a lot of sales pitches in it for Microsoft Power BI. I felt like the script for the course was written by Harold Hill. Lots of talk about how great the product is without actually showing us how to use it or how it would be applicable in a real world scenario.

This program must improve a lot, too many errors in the files, it does not allow you to do some exercises. The worst thing is that I read the reviews, which don't improve the course. I definitely wouldn't recommend it

Very useful if you are a beginer managing data onto PBI. The tools and explanations went hand to hand to ensure you can understand what you are doing. However is very theorical, in some sections is tedious, and some chapters as M language or DAX are barely explained. Not an advanced course for programers or developers in advanced ETLs.

I am completely new to Power BI — exactly the audience this course is designed for — and I found the balance between theory and practice disappointing. The course needs far more hands-on exercises in Power BI Desktop and far less repetitive marketing talk. Hearing lines like “With its ability to assess data quality and provide valuable insights…” over and over made the course feel unnecessarily long and unengaging. I often felt I was spending time on very listening trivial or obvious statements instead of actually learning to build something. The course would benefit greatly from adding a deeper self-guided project and reducing the time spent on marketing-style narration. It should be more dry, precise, and instructive to maximize value for beginners.

ETL Doesn't have to be this complicated. This course leaves out so much information and many of the steps listed in the course material do not work as described (things like instructions that say "click on 'get data'" and there is no 'Get Data' button). This is a really mediocre ETL course and is in serious need of some QC to make it useful.

The phrasing is redundant, tedious, machine-like and in most cases, not understandable. there are many ways to explain these concepts in an easier way to make the student understand this course

Extremely frustrated. You cannot successfully complete this course without Power BI Service and you cannot get Power BI Service without using a work or school email. Even the free trial requires a work or school email. I am taking this course as an individual, I do not have a school email and I am not free to use my work email address for personal business. Please come up with a system that allows everyone to get full benefit from the course.

I'm extremely disappointed with this course. I was unable to continue my learning simply because I was never provided with the required student email. Without it, I can't even log in — let alone access the materials or make progress. It's absolutely unacceptable to block access like this after enrolling. This shows a complete lack of organization and consideration for students. Waste of time and money.

Based on my learning experience on Coursera and relating to my consumer purchase intentions thesis experience, I have intermediate skills in extracting data from diverse sources such as surveys and demographic data. I managed to learn and demonstrated strong data transformation capabilities, including cleaning, formatting, and preparing data for analysis, aligning with Power BI's Power Query features. Additionally, this course all enhanced my ability to organize and present structured data mirrors the loading phase in Power BI, making my overall ETL expertise intermediate.
